Music Electives

Brooklyn Youth Chorus houses an extensive music electives program, offering private vocal and instrument lessons, performance workshops, group classes, and more. Those who study privately have the opportunity to perform for friends and family in a recital at the end of each term. These courses are optional for students.

Spring elective registration for the 2024-25 season will open in November. If you have any questions about the elective program, please contact Director of Program Operations, Kyle Henning.

CANCELLATIONS: Choristers or faculty may need to cancel or re-schedule a lesson for various reasons (sickness, emergency, family events, school work, etc). We ask that any lesson cancellations or re-scheduling be communicated directly between the instructor and the student’s family. Cancellation must be given at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson time in order for a make-up to be scheduled
