Brooklyn Youth Chorus Members

Thank you for being part of Brooklyn Youth Chorus. Once enrolled, members are able to access division information regarding weekly rehearsals and manage member accounts from this page.

There are two areas of our website where you can manage your child’s account. Each area concerns a different aspect of your child’s account, so please read carefully to decide what area you need to access.

Returning Members

If you have questions regarding registration, please fill out the parent inquiry form. A Chorus staff member will respond within 48 hours.

Division Info

Password-protected area to access rehearsal schedules, rehearsal material, division memos, and other announcements related to your child’s weekly rehearsals.

 

Your Account

Password-protected area to keep your account information up to date. This area is where you can make changes to family information, such as address updates, emergency contacts, email addresses, etc. You may also sign up for private lessons, workshops, and financial aid in your account.

2024-25 Training Division Rehearsal Schedules

If your preferred section is full, please notify us of your desired section. We will place you in the requested section if and when space becomes available. Waitlist submissions will be considered on a first come, first serve basis. Click here to sign-up for the waitlist. Please indicate your preferred class section/day. 

PRE-PREPARATORY
In-person (ages 5-6) meets once a week for 45 minutes.

PREPARATORY I “Prep I”
In-person (ages 7-9) meets once a week for 1 hour.  

  • Saturdays; 11:15-12:15 pm at Brooklyn Youth Chorus Headquarters (179 Pacific Street)

  • Mondays; 3:30-4:30 pm at Brooklyn Youth Chorus Headquarters (179 Pacific Street)

  • Tuesdays, 4:30-5:30 pm at First Presbyterian Church (124 Henry Street)

  • Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00 pm at Concord Baptist Church (833 Marcy Avenue)

  • Thursdays, 3:30-4:30 pm at Paul’s Episcopal Church (199 Carroll Street)

  • Fridays, 3:30-4:30 pm at Brooklyn Youth Chorus Headquarters (179 Pacific Street)

PREPARATORY II “Prep II”
In-person (ages 7-9) meets once a week for 1 hour. 

  • Saturdays, 12:45-1:45 pm at Brooklyn Youth Chorus Headquarters (179 Pacific Street)

  • Tuesdays, 5:45-6:45 pm at First Presbyterian Church (124 Henry Street) 

PRE-TEEN I
In-person (ages 10-12) meets once a week for 1.5 hours. Most singers in this age division start at this level. 

  • Saturdays; 12:30-2:00 pm at Brooklyn Youth Chorus Headquarters (179 Pacific Street)

  • Wednesdays, 5:15-6:45 pm at Concord Baptist Church (833 Marcy Avenue)

  • Thursdays, 5:15-6:45 pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church (199 Carroll Street)

PRE-TEEN II
In-person (ages 10-12) meets one day a week for 2 hours. More experienced singers in this age division may be placed in this level following a vocal assessment.

  • Mondays, 4:45-6:45 pm at Brooklyn Youth Chorus Headquarters (179 Pacific Street)

TEEN
In-person (ages 13 and up) meets one day a week for 2 hours. All in-person rehearsal options for this division are for fully vaccinated singers.

PERFORMING ENSEMBLES

  • Junior Ensemble (treble voices ages 11+)

    • Monday & Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 pm at Brooklyn Youth Chorus (179 Pacific Street) 

  • Concert Ensemble (treble voices ages 12+)

    • Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 5:00-7:15 pm at Brooklyn Youth Chorus (179 Pacific Street) 

  • Bass Ensemble (tenors, basses, boys with changed voices, ages 12+)

    • Tuesday & Wednesday from 5:00-7:00 pm at Brooklyn Youth Chorus (179 Pacific Street)
